WhatsApp Messages Can Be Recovered After They Have Been Deleted or Missing

As a regular user of WhatsApp, you are probably quite familiar with it. Sharing news and photos, keeping in touch with friends and family, and conducting business is made easy through Facebook. How do you recover from accidentally deleting a message or picture? Have you ever experienced a loss of WhatsApp data? WhatsApp messages and images can be recovered, fortunately. Here’s how you can do it.

WhatsApp messages and images can be recovered using a few different methods. Enjoyapks that talking about the same method is the simplest such as;

  • Deleted messages or images should be recoverable from your most recent backup if you regularly back up your WhatsApp data. The process for restoring your backup is as simple as uninstalling and reinstalling WhatsApp on your phone.
  • WhatsApp messages and images can be recovered using several third-party recovery tools. You can use these tools to discover whether deleted files can be recovered from your phone’s storage.
  • You can also contact WhatsApp support if you haven’t been able to recover your deleted messages or images. Data may be retrievable from their servers if you contact them.

Backups of WhatsApp chats: An overview

Chat Backup must be enabled in WhatsApp’s settings in order to retrieve deleted messages. The Settings tab can be accessed by tapping it. IPhone users can find it in the bottom bar; Android users can choose Settings from the three dots in the upper-right corner.

You will find it under Chats > Chat backup. The app offers several backup frequencies (along with the option to encrypt your WhatsApp backups) here (under Auto Backup on iOS and Back up to Google Drive on Android)

  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Monthly
  • Off

You can’t restore your WhatsApp data if you lose your phone even though WhatsApp makes a local backup every night on your Android device. Backups in the cloud are therefore extremely important. When you create a new backup file, WhatsApp deletes the previous one. IPhone backups are only stored for the last seven days, while Android backups last up to seven days. When choosing the right backup frequency, keep that in mind.

After deleting WhatsApp messages, you’ll be able to easily recover them by having daily auto-backups. A weekly auto-backup, however, allows you to retrieve deleted WhatsApp messages further back in time, at the expense of recent chat messages. Archived WhatsApp Chats: How to Recover Them

Deleted WhatsApp messages may have simply been archived, not deleted, before we look at recovering them. How are they different?

A conversation can be archived and hidden, removing it from your list. The archives are not deleted, so you can unarchive them at any time. Deleted chats are no longer accessible, so you cannot access their contents.

IPhone users can undo archiving by shaking their device and selecting Undo when they archive a chat. It’s easy to retrieve archived WhatsApp chats later even if you miss this step.

  • Unarchiving WhatsApp chats on iPhone:
  1. The Archived Chats option will appear after scrolling up (swiping from top to bottom).
  2. You can restore a chat by tapping on it, then swiping from left to right.
  3. You will see a button that says Unarchive. Click it.
  • Unarchiving a chat on Android is as follows:
  1. Tap Archived chats (X) at the bottom of the chat list.
  2. You can recover a chat by holding it.
  3. In the top-right corner, you will find an unarchive icon with an upward arrow.

Deleted WhatsApp Messages: How to Recover Them

You want to recover deleted WhatsApp messages after you backed them up, but you don’t know how? Simply uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp on your device to restore your WhatsApp backup. Your message history will be restored from the backup file when you reinstall the app. The latest backup will be restored when you tap Restore. You can’t restore the backup file later, so make sure you do it when prompted.

As long as you have a backup, you can recover deleted WhatsApp messages on Android and iPhone. However, remember to back up messages within the selected auto-backup frequency in order to retrieve them. For example, you can recover deleted chats before the next daily backup if you’ve set the app to back up daily. It’s not possible to recover deleted messages if the app has already made a new backup since the messages were deleted.
